Cone Killer Primary Sponsorship

SECTION 1

We invite you to sponsor the racing organization of Means Racing. Our goals are to race as many races as we can attend throughout the year to promote your company to the best of our ability.

Throughout the year we will compete in as many as 18 races in 3 different states.

Your sponsorship or co-sponsorship is negotiable and very much appreciated. You will receive publicity and advertising, in addition to logo and product identification through local and national press coverage. We also display the race vehicle with special appearances at local trade shows, car shows, malls, schools and charitable events.

Additional details about the drag racing team and the benefits of sponsorship are provided below.

We’ll Win Together!

SECTION 2

Q What is drag racing?
A One of the fastest-growing fields of motorsports. Drivers compete head-to-head in quarter-mile races.

Q Why should you care?
A More than 1.9 million people attend national, divisional and local drag racing events each year. Another 200 million watch the races on TV. Even more read about them in the newspapers and magazines.

Q What does this mean to you?
A Drag racing fans are loyal to the sponsor who support the sport they love. Sponsoring a drag racing team provides
a unique way to reach your customers and make new ones.

Q What is NHRA?
A The National Hot Rod Association is the world’s largest motorsports sanctioning body. NHRA reaches major markets throughout the country with the Mello Yellow Drag Racing series.

Q Why Means Racing?
A We want to get you on the fast track in this rapidly growing sport by sponsoring a 7 second, 180 mile per hour,
drag racing car.

WINNING
This is what NHRA is all about…winning sponsors and winning drivers. People involved in drag racing have been successful both on and off the track. Many companies achieve or surpass their marketing goals through their partnerships with drag racing teams.

SPORTSMANSHIP
Win or lose, drag racing brings out the best in people. Whether it’s a handshake at the finish line or helping out another team, drag racers respect one another. This respect is the positive image you want representing you! Let us show you how Means Racing image and winning attitude can deliver the results you are looking for.

SECTION 3

Auto Racing Sponsorship

Auto racing is one of the most popular spectator sports in the country and has become a premier marketing tool for many businesses.

Auto Racing Sponsorship reaches a valuable and widespread consumer market:

  • The average auto-racing spectator is 18 to 34 year’s old, affluent, well educated, and a significant contributor to the consumer marketplace.
  • A Harris survey of sports reports that one of every four Americans in the 21-29 year old age bracket considers him or herself an auto racing fan.
  • Sears Roebuck Co. determined that 75 percent of all males between the ages of 17 and 34 have been spectators of at least one auto race.
  • First National City Travelers Checks estimates that 50 million potential purchases of their travelers’ checks attracted each year through automobile racing.

Auto Racing Sponsorship is an economical and cost-efficient method of advertising:
“The rule of thumb is that putting $1,000 behind a sports event generates the same exposure as $10,000 in advertising.” – The Wall Street Journal

“This is a good way to advertise. It’s the lowest cost per thousand [people] that I know of, including networks. It gathers a group of people that you don’t reach in other ways, and yet it crosses all of the advertising methods. So we have gotten very good results.” – Russell Chambers, President/Intermedius (on NBC’s Telecast of the Michigan 500)

THE BOTTOM LINE

Nostalgia Drag Racing

The 1997 Stirling Front Engine Dragster can be wrapped from nose to tail in your design. From the starting line to the finish line, millions of people will see your company’s name and colors on a jarring 1200 horsepower Nostalgia dragster covering the quarter mile in the 7-second ranges at over 180 miles per hour. When the noise stops and the smoke clears, the parachutes blossom with your company’s name – bringing the car safely to a halt.

Because every company has different marketing goals and resources, Means Racing will work with you to tailor a sponsorship to meet your needs.

Through our experience in motorsports, we have seen what works and what doesn’t in drag racing sponsorships.

Means Racing wants your name to be a winner both on and off the track. Our goal is to build a winning team with your company.

SECTION 7

Team Transport:

Moving a drag racing team from race to race across the states require an elaborate team transport. This 42-foot transport trailer can be covered with your name and company colors; traveling thousands of miles a year grabbing the attention of motorist where-ever we race. Quite the billboard, don’t you think? And at the track – these transports become the workshop for a team throughout the race weekend of drag racing excitement. A 40 foot awning, embossed with your company’s name, may be installed to protect the crew from the sun and rain.

Driver and Crew:

Drag racing teams operate with a crew of three to four. The team members represent the companies who back them. Each driver and crew member proudly wears the uniform of his or her sponsor. From the driver’s helmet to the transmission specialist’s work shirt, your logo can be seen by thousands of racing fans. Camera shots often focus on the crew members feverishly working on the car / truck between rounds.

Talk to us about your goals, and we’ll help you get more mileage out of your marketing dollar.

Contact us about your future involvement in drag racing.

SECTION 8

More Exposure:

With drag racing, fans are not just spectators, they’re more like participants. People who go to drag races don’t just sit in one spot; they can tour the teams’ pit areas and get an up close look at the crewmembers in action. Drivers take the time to meet their fans, pose for pictures and sign autographs every day of the race. Many fans collect the free “info handouts” which have photos of the car, statistics about the driver, and information about the sponsor.
The car can be displayed at shows, expos, or your own headquarters, an excellent way to promote your company and its involvement in Drag Racing.

RIDE WITH A WINNER

“Man has never invented a vehicle that he hasn’t raced…or used to promote a product. Automobiles, sailboats, skateboards and bicycles all have been raced with the stated or implied message: ‘Buy mine and run with a winner.’ But the sport that has made the most out of advertisers’ desires to ride with a winner is auto racing.”
Advertising Age
Press Coverage:
Your company and product benefits from the personal appearances; press conferences; media coverage of individual racing events including television, radio, newspapers, internet and websites, national consumer magazines, automotive trade magazines, and special-interest automotive publications.
